We’re proud to announce that Maria Duncan, a financial planner at Bradway Financial, has earned the Certified Financial Planner® designation.
The CFP® mark identifies financial professionals who have met the experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework, and have passed the CFP certification exam.
The exam covers professional conduct and regulation, general financial planning principles, education planning, risk management and insurance planning, investment planning, tax planning, retirement savings and income planning, as well as estate planning.
CFPs also must meet ongoing continuing education requirements and uphold the CFP Board’s code of ethics and professional responsibility, rules of conduct, and adhere to financial planning practice standards.
Maria, who joined Bradway in 2009, maintains client accounts, makes investment recommendations and helps craft individually tailored financial plans. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Connecticut College and a master’s in business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
